Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies

Imagine, you’re desperate for chocolate. Desperate, as in, if I don’t have chocolate in the next 20 minutes I am going to scream desperate. But you’re faced with wanting to eat something healthy, thats still full of chocolate. Well, your luck is in my friends. These 4 (yes 4!) ingredient cookies are healthy, faff free, filling, stupidly delicious and mega chocolatey. Believe me, from my own personal experience, they will soothe any chocolate cravings you may have…

This recipe makes about 6 cookies, take about 20 minutes from start to finish and they are best served warm (because who doesn’t love gooey chocolate?)

Equipment:

  • Scales
  • Fork
  • Bowl
  • Baking tray

Ingredients:

  • 100g oats (not instant!)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 packet dark chocolate chips
  • 2tbsp honey

Method:

  1. With a fork, mash the banana in the bowl.
  2. Add the honey to the banana and stir.
  3. Add in the oats and chocolate chips and stir.
  4. Using your hands, press even amounts of mixture in your hands to form a ball and then mould into cookie shapes.
  5. Put the cookies onto an lightly oiled baking tray and cook for 10 minutes at 180°C for soft cookies or 15 minutes for a chewier cookie.
